The death of the Nine-Tailed Fox was certainly one of the saddest in the Boruto anime.
Kurama’s sacrifice was made in Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto, and Kawaki’s desperate battle against Isshiki Otsutsuki.
This sacrifice was due to the fact that he convinced Naruto to activate Baryon Mode, a mode where Kurama’s life was burned so that Naruto’s strength reached a level never seen before, and thus managed to beat the opponent who seemed invincible.
But at what point in history does it take place?
The Boruto episode in which Kurama dies is number 218, titled “Partner”.
In this episode, we see a very emotional flashback to the story of Naruto and Kurama, and if you’re a fan of the story, you’ll probably have tears in your eyes for it.
